Meet the visionary behind RibbonCare Volunteer Network
Founder & President
Nonso Stanley Anene is the visionary Founder and President of the RibbonCare Volunteer Network. An inspirational young African leader, he exhibits exceptional leadership skills and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His passion for youth participation, healthcare, community development, social work, and philanthropy drives the organization’s mission.
Currently, he serves as the Director of Administration at the University on the Niger Teaching Hospital (formerly Iyienu Mission Hospital, Ogidi). His leadership roles include pioneer State Coordinator of the YALI Network Anambra State, Assistant State Secretary of the NYCN Anambra Chapter, former Country Director of the Global Youth Assembly (GYA) for Nigeria, and pioneer State Chairman of the AYPN.
As the founder, he has coordinated numerous community medical outreaches to rural and underserved areas, championing volunteerism for social causes. He also founded the Olive Sickle Cell Initiative, an NGO focused on reducing sickle cell disorder in Nigeria.
Nonso’s accolades include the International Youth Award by Jamie Pajoel International, State Honours’ Award from NYSC Delta State (2010), and fellowships from the Institute of Management Specialists (FIMS) and Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). He is a YALI RLC Fellow (Cohort 17).
A member of the FRSC as a Special Marshal and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Ogidi Division, Nonso is also an ordained priest. Married to Mercy Nzubechukwu Anene, they have a daughter, Chizaram Michelle Chimnora Anene.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, teaching, writing, music (piano, bass guitar, saxophone), and public speaking. Known as ‘Prof’ among friends, Nonso embodies servant-leadership, striving for greatness and excellence.

Since 2019, we have been committed to providing free medical outreaches and health education to rural and underserved communities across Nigeria, particularly in the southern regions.
Our mission is to promote health and well-being through volunteer-driven initiatives, ensuring no one is left behind.
